A Moroccan national suspected of murdering his transgender girlfriend in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, in December 2024 has been arrested by Interpol, Thai media reported on Friday. Thai police stated that he will be extradited to Thailand to face charges of premeditated murder. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old B.C., was apprehended at a hotel in Turkey. He had been wanted since December for the murder of Thitikarn Dulikanon, a doctor and owner of Doctor Sammy Clinic. Her body was discovered in her clinic in downtown Chiang Mai on December 6 last year. The couple had been living at the clinic. CCTV footage captured them entering the clinic together on December 4. A few hours later, the suspect was seen leaving alone in his girlfriend's car, which was later found abandoned near Chiang Mai Airport. Two days later, a housekeeper discovered Thitikarn's body. Authorities later learned that the suspect had fled Thailand for Hong Kong, prompting them to seek Interpol's assistance. Investigators suspect jealousy was the motive behind the murder.
