The Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), Abdelilah Benkirane, took advantage of his speech during a communication meeting organized by his party in Oulad Berhil, Sunday, to send messages to Algeria amidst the increasing hostility towards Morocco. «I say to our brothers in Algeria, curse the devil; this is not the right time. Didn't you find anything else besides Morocco? We understand well why you want to take the Sahara and establish an artificial entity there made up of 100,000 or 200,000 people|, he argued. «You have closed the eastern borders and want to close the southern borders. Do not forget that Morocco is a country connected to Africa not only by vegetable trucks but by spirit, faith, and religion. Our ancestors are the ones who spread Islam in Africa», he added. He continued, «I was told that there are still mosques in Nigeria where they pray and invoke blessings for the Sultan of Morocco». The Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party warned the eastern neighbor that Morocco will not allow itself to be isolated from its African depth, affirming that he is not addressing the Algerian people, who «hold great respect for Moroccans», but rather its leaders.
