Morocco has been awarded the right to organize the next five editions of the U17 Women's World Cup, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced on Thursday. The tournament will now feature 24 participants and will be held annually starting in 2025. FIFA has specified that Morocco will host the competitions from 2025 to 2029. Qatar was also chosen to organize the men's version of the competition during the same period, from 2025 to 2029. «This follows a global call for expressions of interest in hosting the two competitions, with an emphasis on the use of existing football infrastructure to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of the tournaments», noted the Federation in a press release.
