A coastal surveillance unit of the Royal Navy intercepted an inflatable boat carrying 108 sub-Saharan would-be irregular migrants on Saturday, January 21st, near Dakhla, Morocco. The group included 28 minors, a woman, and a girl, according to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. The boat had set sail from the Mauritanian coast with the intention of reaching the Canary Islands. Upon their rescue, the individuals received necessary care and were subsequently handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for routine administrative procedures.
