Morocco received, Wednesday, two million additional doses of the anti-Covid-19 Sinopharm vaccine. Dr Moulay Saïd Afif, president of the Moroccan society of medical sciences and member of the National Vaccination Committee confirmed the delivery to Yabiladi. He recalled that president of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Habib Al-Maliki, agreed with the president of the National Assembly of China in April to provide Morocco with 10 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine during these two months. The official clarified that «Morocco will receive the remaining five million doses before the end of May». The Kingdom has become heavily dependent on the Sinopharm vaccine, after the supply of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Serum Institute of India was cut off, following the decision of the Indian authorities to prioritize the vaccination of their citizens. A few days ago, the Ministry of Health announced the expansion of the vaccination process to people aged 45 to 50.
