The Health Ministry has announced having allocated two billion dirhams to upgrade its medical devices, including the acquisition of 100,000 testing kits for the coronavirus. Thus, according to 2M.ma, the supplier of the kits is South Korean company Osang Healthcare, manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies. The agreement was signed on March 26, between Rafik Rachadi, Morocco's ambassador to South Korea, and the CEO of Osang Healthcare. Under the terms of the agreement, the South Korean company will donate another 10,000 kits free of charge to Morocco. «The kits include in vitro diagnostic tests, which use samples taken from the human body such as blood. They comply with WHO guidelines and are certified to be sold in Europe», it added. These kits detect the virus through DNA tests, providing a rapid means of identification of the new coronavirus, which thus contributes to quickly contain the spread of the virus.
