Welsh Osian Wayne Roberts was appointed national technical director and Houcine Ammouta coach of the national team of local players, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Thursday. Following the establishment of a committee to appoint the new national technical director at the end of the last meeting of the FRMF executive board, Roberts committed for five years as head of the National Technical Directorate as of September, the FRMF said in a statement. The Welshman has gained experience in the field of technical management and training, noted the statement, adding that he was the technical director for Wales from 2007 to 2019, as well as an expert and director of training for the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The Moroccan technician Houcine Ammouta was appointed as coach of the national team of local players, while French Patrice Beaumelle will be the coach of the national U-23 team, said the same source, adding that Jamal Sellami will be in charge of the national U-20 team.
