Mauritanian president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, expected to leave office in August, has ended up inviting the Polisario to the inauguration ceremony of Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, the Front's news agency SPS reported on Sunday. The invitation was handed over by the Mauritanian Foreign Affairs Minister Ismail Ould Cheikh to the Front's «Foreign Minister» Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, the same source says. The invitation sent to Polisario comes as «sources close to the Mauritanian palace», told Anbaa Info that the Front's leader Brahim Ghali has been removed from the list of personalities invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of Mauritania's newly elected president Mohamed Ould Ghazouani. The information was also relayed by Yabiladi on Sunday. For the record, Brahim Ghali congratulated Ould Ghazouani on July, 1st, after he was confirmed by the Mauritanian Constitutional Council. On the other hand, King Mohammed VI was one of the first leaders to send a message to the newly elected president. In August 2014, Mauritania did not invite the Polisario to attend the inauguration ceremony of Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.
