American online marketplace and hospitality service brokerage company Airbnb has announced that it started luxury listings in Morocco, Menabytes reported on Sunday. Last week, the San Francisco-based firm said that its new listings, Airbnb Luxe, will include luxurious villas, castles, private islands, and entire villages across the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. These listings can reach an average price of $1,000 per night and go as high as $20, 000 per night, the same newspaper said. «With homes that are destinations in themselves, travelers can stay at incredible places, including award-winning homes in New Zealand and South Africa, castles in France and breathtaking historic villas in Tuscany», Airbnb said in a statement. «This new tier launches with more than 2,000 handpicked homes around the world, each one passing strict evaluation across 300+ criteria to meet standards in both design and function», the company added. Airbnb Luxe is available in Marrakech only, owning 12 properties that can be booked from $440 per night. Dar Pili in Marrakech is one of the most expensive properties provided by Airbnb Luxe, costing $12,000 per night.
