After his German club Dortmund said in March that he won't be able to play for the rest of the season, Moroccan international player Achraf Hakimi has quickly been able to get back on track. The 20-year-old player who suffered a metatarsal break has announced his return, sports newspaper Goal wrote on Monday. Hakimi's announcement comes as Morocco national football team is preparing for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), to be held this summer in Egypt. The same newspaper reveals that Hakimi is now ready to fight for a room among his fellow footballers in Hervé Renard's squad for Afcon. «Very happy for how the recovery has gone. Next step, the challenge of the selection», Achraf Hakimi wrote on his Instagram. For the record, the footballer was transferred to Madrid to undergo a surgery after he felt pain during a game against German club Wolfsburg in March. He left the field in the 49th minute and was seen for a few moments trying to feel his right foot.
