French coach Hervé Renard who currently manages Morocco's national football team unveiled, Monday, the team squad he selected for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, expected to take place between 21 June and 19 July in Egypt. The preliminary list included Zamalek striker Khaled Boutaieb and Saudi Arabian top goal scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah, who helped his team Al Nasr win the league title. Renard's squad includes goalkeepers Munir Mohamedi, Yassine Bounou, Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti and Abdelali Mhamdi. Marouane Da Costa, Romain Saiss, Mehdi Benatia, Achraf Hakimi, Abdelhamid Yunis, Noussair Mazroaui, Nabil Dirar are also on the list. The list's midfielders are Karim El Ahmadi, Arroussi Youssef Aït Bennasser, Mbark Boussoufa , Younes Belhanda Fayçal Fajr, Abdelkrim Baadi, Mehdi Bourabia, Amine Harit Forwards Nordin Amrabat , Hakim Ziyech, Ayoub El Kaabi, Youssef En-Nesyri , Soufiane Boufal, and Osama Idrissi were also summoned by Renard. For the record, Morocco will play two friendly matches in June ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be held from 21 June to 19 July in Egypt. According to the Royal Football Federation, Morocco will play against Gambia on June 12, 2019, (5:30 pm) and then against Zambia on June 16, 2019, (5:30 pm) at Marrakech Grand Stadium. The national team will travel to Egypt on June 18 to take part in the continental competition.
