During an African Union Peace and Security Council's meeting, Morocco stressed that it refuses conflict escalation in Libya. The diplomat stressed that «the military option would not contribute to the stability of that country», the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom in the African Union Mohamed Arrouchi said, Wednesday, in Addis Ababa. He highlighted the need of «putting an end to all military operations and to encourage all parties and political actors to resolve their differences through dialogue», MAP news agency report. Arrouchi pointed out that the «Skhirate agreement signed by the parties to the conflict remains a fundamental reference for the settlement of this dispute». In its resolution on Libya, made public on April 19, the Peace and Security Council said that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis and stressed the need of finding a political solution.
