A veiled woman was stabbed, Tuesday, in Anderlecht, a municipality in Belgium. Laila H.G., 32, was attacked by a man who stabbed her, when she was taking her two kids to school, RTBF reports. The spokesperson for the Brussels Prosecutor Denis Goeman said that an investigation was launched. «The attack might have been racist but other things must be considered. You have to be very careful until you have all the elements», he said. The attacker is still on the run, but he was identified through CCTV images. The victim, on the other hand, was hospitalized and underwent a surgery. This is not the first time that a veiled woman goes through a similar attack. In January, a 47-year-old Moroccan veiled woman was assaulted in Anderlecht, one of the nineteen municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region. The victim was walking down the street with her 10-year-old daughter. A hooded passer-by hit her on the face with his fest before fleeing. The mother fell and was taken later to the hospital by an ambulance.
