The Spanish civil guard announced on Tuesday the arrest in Getafe, in the suburbs of Madrid, of a person of Moroccan origin over suspicion of committing the offense of spreading terrorist propaganda and internet self-indoctrination. The investigation on this individual started early 2018, after the Spanish security services detected on social networks the presence of a person which checked terrorist groups-linked content, notably ISIS, said the same source in a statement. Aged 28, this individual showed a violent attitude through his radical activities and his relations with the world of delinquency which was his only known source of income. To get connected to social networks on the internet, the suspect did not use his own identity but that of friends and acquaintances, it said. The probe revealed that the suspect was radicalized while serving time in a penitentiary near Madrid.
