The Royal Navy sprang into action on Tuesday, executing a critical medical evacuation for two foreign vessels near the port of Mohammedia. According to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the cargo ship «Linden» encountered an engine failure early Tuesday morning, approximately 2.5 kilometers southeast of the city's port. Upon receiving the distress signal, the Royal Navy swiftly deployed a helicopter to rescue two crew members from the vessel who were in critical condition. A naval unit was also dispatched to the scene to monitor the distressed ship and offer necessary support, the statement added. In a separate incident on the same day, not far from the original location, the Royal Navy received another distress call. This time, it was a Chinese cargo ship named «Tai Hua Wan», reporting three individuals in critical health condition. In response, another Royal Navy helicopter was sent to evacuate the three injured crew members. Both rescue operations were conducted in close coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie and the Search and Rescue Coordination Center, ensuring a seamless response. The evacuated individuals were subsequently handed over to Civil Protection personnel to receive the required medical assistance, the press release concluded.
