A Moroccan national suspected of being a religious extremist has been expelled by the Italian authorities for the second time, says IANS quoting the Italian Interior Ministry on Wednesday. The suspect was deported before and managed to re-enter Italy through a 10-day-visa, says the same source. The 44-year-old man was arrested in Como, a city in northern Italy and was expelled via a flight from Venice, said the ministry. He was able to return to Italy on a 10-day visa to attend a court hearing in Piacenza after he was deported in May for showing signs of radicalization «during a spell in prison for petty crime». Investigators, at the time, said he was «close to Islamic extremist milieux». For the record, 51 people have been expelled from Italy this year for religious extremism and 288 since January 2015, concluded the ministry.
