The Polisario Front said that the Moroccan accusations are a «lie», denying having been supported by Hezbollah, reports EFE. The separatist movement urged Rabat to «provide evidence» supporting «its false allegations», a spokesperson from the Front told the Spanish news agency. According to him, cutting diplomatic ties with Tehran is aimed at «escaping» the UN's call to start «negotiations». Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita explained that cutting diplomatic ties with Tehran was decided after «Hezbollah provided support for the Polisario Front which targets the security and interests of Morocco». He stressed that the Kingdom «has irrefutable proof, names, and specific actions to corroborate the complicity between the Polisario and Hezbollah», proving Hezbollah's involvement. For his part the Polisario representative announced that his movement has never sought any help from a foreign force. Abi Bouchraya claims that «this new allegation is an opportunist initiative» set by Morocco to «protect itself from the latest resolution adopted by the Security Council», reports SPS.
