The Morocco national football team is qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The Atlas Lions have successfully defeated the Ivorian Elephants on Saturday 11th of November in Abidjan. Scoring two goals, Morocco has secured a ticket to Russia. Nabil Dirar scored during the the first half time, Mehdi Benatia did the same minutes later. Morocco was topping its group before flying to Ivory Coast. It is the fifth time that the Moroccan national football team gets qualified for the international FIFA competition. For the record, the Atlas Lions team currently managed by Hervé Renard, was qualified in the past to the World Cup in 1970, 1986, 1994, 1998.
