Planeta, a Spanish media group based in Barcelona and operates in Spain, Portugal, France, and Latin America announced on Thursday in Rabat that it would open two schools in Morocco in the fields of tourism and management. It is Ostelea School of Hospitality & Tourism, specializing in tourism and hospitality management, and Eslsca Business School Paris, a business school with a strong reputation in finance and market intelligence. The two schools will start operating by the beginning of 2018. «The two schools represent the first establishment of this Spanish group, specializing in the fields of culture, training, information and audiovisual entertainment, through its subsidiary + Planeta Formation Maroc +, in African soil,» the president of Planeta, José Manuel Lara García said in a statement. He underlined that the Spanish group has opted for the launch of its activities in Morocco given the economic growth of the Kingdom, adding that this investment offers an opportunity for the strengthening of the presence of the Spanish company in Africa, particularly in the French-speaking countries of the continent. The director of the training division of the Spanish group, Carlos Giménez, explained that the training in these two academic centers will be carried out by a Moroccan and foreign teaching body. As for the president of the National Tourism Confederation, Abdellatif Kabbaj, he said that the opening of these schools specialized in tourism training is likely to promote the development of the hotel sector in Morocco, as they will contribute to the training of a highly qualified tourist staff.
