The UN headquarters in New York witnessed another clash between Morocco and Venezuela this week. During the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) meeting, the representative of Caracas did not miss the opportunity to recall the Western Sahara conflict, reports Map news agency. Venzuela's ambassador, Rafael Ramirez said that the ODD achievements target «occupied territories» referring to Palestine and the Moroccan Sahara. Responding to this, Omar Hilale Morocco's permanent representative to the UN in New York, stated that the kingdom has initiated a MAD 7 billion development plan for the region. Hilale reminded the Venezuelan representative of the Humanitarian aid that his president Nicolas Maduro asked for at the ONU. End of March, the Venezuelan president, urged the UN for help through the United Nations Development Programme (PNUD) due to a huge shortage in Medicine. The conflict between Hilale and Raminez dates back to July 2016 when they clashed because of the Sahara problem.
