The third edition of «Jidar, Toiles de Rue» festival will be hosted from the 21st to the 30th of April in Rabat to honor street art artists in the world. For ten days, painters from Morocco, Spain, Germany, Italy, Colombia, Romania, Ukrain, Egypt, and Mexico will decorate 10 walls of the Kingdom's capital. EAC-L'Boulvard association, organizer of the event, stated in a communiqué that these national and international painters will «put to date the heritage to the Kingdom through their works». Jidar 2017 is «celebrating multiculturalism in the streets», said the organizers who also think that the administrative city's walls will be showered with giant frescos inspired by the Moroccan, Spanish, Ukrainian, South African and Byzantine cultures. «Jidar will remain faithful to the traditions of the contemporary art. Unlike previous editions when a wall was made available to several urban and graffiti artists, this year the new skate park of Rabat's cornice will be embellished by a bunch of professionals under the leadership of the Spanish artist Antonyo Marset.» The audience will be able to admire and witness the result of the Graffiti Connection through master classes that will be delivered by two Moroccan artists along with their Egyptian counterpart. EAC-L'Boulvard is a nonprofit organization that targets the development and promotion of contemporary music and urban culture in Morocco. Since early 1999, it has been organizing activities, concerts, training, workshops, meetings and festivals for talented youths.
