A delegation from the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) conducted a working visit to Mauritania from April 22 to 24. Led by the vice president of the FAR social services division, the Moroccan military mission focused on an exchange of experiences, according to a statement by the Mauritanian army. «The Moroccan military delegation then visited the headquarters of the Aouaed El-Shohada (sons of martyrs) Directorate and the Association of Armed and Security Forces», the same source specified. This visit is part of the implementation of agreements concluded between Morocco and Mauritania during sessions of their Joint Military Commission. Rabat hosted the first meeting of this high-level cooperation framework between the armies of the two neighboring countries on January 29, 2020.
