Morocco was among the top 20 footwear exporters to Brazil in February, according to a survey by the Brazilian Footwear Industry Association (Abicalçados) released on Tuesday. In February, Morocco sold USD 32,500 worth of footwear to Brazil, totaling 1,976 pairs. This represents a sales growth of 3,300% compared to February of last year. Data from Abicalçados also shows a decrease in the average value of the footwear exported by Morocco to Brazil in the year-over-year comparison. In February 2024, the average value was USD 48.78, while this year it dropped to USD 16.45, a decline of 66.3%. Morocco was the 17th largest footwear supplier to Brazil. China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Paraguay were Brazil's top suppliers.
