The 13th edition of Moto Days, Italy's premier motorcycle tourism event, kicked off on Friday in Rome, with Morocco as the guest of honor. The event brings together motorcycle enthusiasts and industry professionals. During the opening ceremony, Morocco's ambassador to Italy, Youssef Balla, praised the organizers' initiative and highlighted the growing popularity of motorcycle tourism in Morocco. «This type of travel, far from traditional routes, encourages encounters with local populations. It combines adventure, discovery, and cultural exchanges», he stated. The diplomat also emphasized the social and ecological aspects of this form of tourism. As part of the event, Anthony Schless, general coordinator of the Africa Eco Race Rally, unveiled the main features of the 2026 edition. It will start from Tangier and cross the Moroccan Sahara and Mauritania before reaching Dakar. He recalled that the 2025 edition, held under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, had already covered a major route through Morocco, connecting Tangier to the southern provinces via Laâyoune and Dakhla. The Moto Days show spans 40,000 m² and offers a complete immersion into the world of motorcycles: exhibitions, on-track and off-road test rides, sports demonstrations, and conferences on mobility and sustainability. Special attention is given to female riders with the initiative "Motociclista, sostantivo femminile", as well as to technology and sustainable innovation, which are central to the industry's challenges.
