The Hiba Foundation, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), and the Al Mada Foundation are set to release Khaliya 3: From Here and Elsewhere, the latest installment of their artistic residency dedicated to comic books. The launch event will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Café La Scène in Rabat, in the presence of the artists. Bringing together ten young talents from Morocco, France, and Belgium, this edition explores the concept of «connection» in all its forms—roots, transmission, collective memory, family, friendship, and otherness. Under the artistic direction of Zineb Benjelloun (Morocco) and Rakidd (France), participants engaged in immersive workshops designed as a creative laboratory. The residency also featured online masterclasses led by Hicham Lasri (Morocco) and Aniss El Hammouri (Belgium), focusing on scriptwriting and graphic storytelling. Initiated by the Hiba Foundation, the Khaliya residency fosters artistic expression and intercultural dialogue by strengthening ties between young people in Morocco and the diaspora through comic books. Since its inception, 20 artists have contributed to the initiative, resulting in the albums Zan9a / La Rue (2022) and Khatar L'Mawt (2023).
