The Polisario Front has lodged an official protest with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, denouncing what it calls the «illegal inclusion» of the Sahara within Morocco's map on a poster for the «IMEX» exhibition, an event focused on international business, foreign trade, and investments. The Front's representative in Spain, Abdullah Al Arabi, stated that the poster constitutes «a violation of international law» and is part of «Morocco's strategy to impose its sovereignty over the disputed territory». The group also hinted at the possibility of taking «further measures to defend the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence» but did not provide details. The exhibition, set to take place on Wednesday and Thursday at Cibeles Palace in Madrid, is themed «Doing Business in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima» and is sponsored by the Official Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Morocco-Tangier-Nador. Sources from «IMEX» told Spanish media that the event is purely economic and does not seek to take political positions. Organizers also emphasized that the exhibition «has no political agenda», stating that its primary goal is «to help Spanish companies, particularly small businesses, explore opportunities in foreign markets and boost their competitiveness».
