Saint-Gobain Sekurit Maroc has partnered with Energie Eolienne du Maroc (EEM), a subsidiary of the Nareva Group, to secure a supply of 35 GWh of wind-generated electricity annually. The 20-year agreement, set to commence in March 2025, is poised to meet 90% of the Kenitra production site's electricity requirements, significantly curbing its carbon emissions. This landmark initiative is a first for Saint-Gobain in Morocco and aligns with the company's broader decarbonization strategy. Further to this commitment, the Group intends to install solar panels on the site's rooftops by the summer of 2025, pushing the share of green electricity usage to 95%.
