Morocco and Yemen have inked a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding on Friday, during the 6th session of the Morocco-Yemen Joint Commission held in Rabat. These agreements span several crucial sectors, reflecting a deepening of bilateral ties between the two nations. Among the agreements signed is one concerning the mutual recognition of driving licenses, which aims to facilitate travel and mobility for citizens of both countries. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was finalized to foster cooperation in water resources management, a critical area given the growing challenges of water scarcity. Furthermore, both countries committed to enhancing technical cooperation in road and port infrastructure, sectors vital for economic development and trade. A separate memorandum of understanding was also signed to bolster collaborative efforts in meteorology and climatology, underscoring the importance of shared knowledge in addressing climate change and weather-related challenges. The session also saw the signing of a memorandum in the field of vocational training, alongside an executive agreement dedicated to training and vocational education. An agreement outlining an executive cooperation program in higher education and scientific research for the 2025-2027 period was also established, highlighting a commitment to advancing educational opportunities. Concluding the session, both Morocco and Yemen expressed satisfaction with the robust quality and positive trajectory of their bilateral relations.
