A new art exhibition titled «Transparency» opened at Al Markhiya Gallery in Doha's Fire Station, featuring works by contemporary Moroccan artists Hakim Ghazali and Khalid Elbekay. The exhibition, which runs until April 4, was inaugurated in the presence of Morocco's Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Setri, along with diplomats, intellectuals, and artists. According to The Peninsula, Elbekay chose Qatar for its advanced art scene, noting that he previously exhibited works in 2015 and 2022 focused on Arab-Western cultural dialogue. The exhibition combines visual arts with art books, featuring Elbekay's geometric patterns, arabesque designs, and calligraphy that reflect both Moroccan traditions and East-West cultural fusion. Hakim Ghazali, making his debut at Al Markhiya Gallery, brings nearly four decades of artistic experience to the exhibition. His work merges traditional Moroccan art with contemporary global perspectives, encompassing painting, calligraphy, and conceptual art. His pieces explore themes of cultural identity, spirituality, and the relationship between tradition and modernity. The exhibition represents both artists' commitment to bridging Eastern and Western artistic traditions while maintaining strong connections to their Moroccan heritage.
