Utrecht, Netherlands, will host a fashion exhibition celebrating Moroccan-Dutch creativity. The city's Centraal Museum will house the exhibition titled «MOḌA: Moroccan Fashion Statements», according to Dutch media. Created in collaboration with DAR Cultural Agency, a Rotterdam-based platform showcasing contemporary talents in art, design, and architecture, the exhibition explores seven themes that spotlight the personal stories of the Moroccan diaspora in the Netherlands. The show will feature works by Moroccan-Dutch artists Karim Adduchi, Mohamed Benchellal, Tamy Tazi, Said Mahrouf, and Lichting winner Yousra Razine Mahrah. Clothing brands Daily Paper and New Tangier are also included. «With MOḌA, we want to convey the energy of contemporary makers with a connection to Morocco», said Ninke Bloemberg, fashion curator at the Centraal Museum, in a press release. «Beyond stereotypes, from high fashion to streetwear and local to international—MOḌA is buzzing». The exhibition will run from October 3, 2024 to March 2, 2025.
