Premium tire manufacturer Hankook has announced the opening of its sales subsidiary in Morocco, marking a significant step in its Africa expansion plan, the company stated in a press release on Thursday. Hankook will be offering a wide range of innovative, high-quality products, backed by global research centers, numerous patents, and advanced technological developments, it said. Don Yi Jeon has been appointed as Managing Director of the new Moroccan subsidiary. He previously oversaw the Middle East/Africa region as Senior Manager of Hankook's Dubai sales office. «This new office in Morocco is a crucial step in strengthening our presence in North Africa», said Sanghoon Lee, President and COO of Hankook Tire Europe. «We are confident that, under Don Yi Jeon's leadership, we will not only increase our market share but also provide innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of local customers». Hankook Morocco will be selling tires suitable for various vehicle types, including passenger cars, vans, SUVs, recreational vehicles, as well as trucks and buses.
