The Justice and Development Party (PJD) has raised concerns over the recent docking of an Israeli warship at the port of Tangier. Abdellah Bouanou, the president of the PJD's parliamentary group, has formally questioned Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita on this matter. Bouanou argued that the docking of an Israeli vessel «undermines Morocco's stance on the Palestinian issue, particularly in light of the ongoing aggression against Palestine and Gaza. It also compromises Morocco's efforts, led by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to support the Palestinian cause». He urged the Foreign Minister to «clarify the veracity of reports regarding the ship, which allegedly docked at the port of Tangier to refuel and resupply», as stated on the PJD's website on Tuesday, June 25. This move follows a press release by the «Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization|, a coalition that includes Al Adl wal Ihsane and far-left activists, which denounced the docking of an Israeli warship in a Moroccan port on Saturday, June 22.
