On Thursday, low-cost airline Transavia, part of the Air France KLM group, announced two new routes to Moroccan cities: Tangier and Rabat. These flights will launch in July 2024. «For the 2024 summer season, we're expanding our North Africa network with new connections from Nantes to Tangier and from Montpellier to Rabat», Transavia stated in a press release. The Tangier route will offer two weekly flights, departing from Nantes on Mondays and Fridays, with the first flight scheduled for July 1st. Montpellier and Rabat will be connected with two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays, beginning July 3rd. These additions bring the total number of Moroccan cities served by Transavia to 12, with departures from various French airports. The other destinations include Agadir, Casablanca, Dakhla, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakesh, Nador, Ouarzazate, Jeddah, and Tangier.
