More than fifty young Moroccans managed to swim to Ceuta, Sunday, according to the Civil Guard. Initially, 70 people have tried to enter the autonomous city by sea, swimming from Fnideq, Ceutaldia reported. Several boats heading for the peninsula were observed this weekend. The number of similar attempts to enter the city increased due to the closure of the border, Spanish media argued. In Fnideq, young people are protesting against this closure and calling the Moroccan authorities to find an urgent solution for the unemployed, especially as they rely heavily on smuggling. On Thursday, more than 300 people took to the streets in Fnideq.
