A Casablanca court handed, Thursday, a group of Israelis accused of falsifying documents prison sentences ranging from six months to six years. The main suspect Mimoun B., who is believed to be the head of the network, as well as Moroccan women I.J and A.B were sentenced to six years in prison, media reports said. Two other Moroccans, including one who worked as a driver, and a Moroccan Jew, were sentenced to four years in prison. On Thursday morning, the 28 defendants denied the charges against them. They were charged with «forming a criminal gang and falsifying official documents and records», among other offences. In a statement, Morocco's Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) said the accused falsified birth certificates for the benefit of Israeli nationals who do not bear a Moroccan citizenship.
