Platinum Power, a renewable energy investor minority-owned by American capital market company Brookstone Partners, is partnering with CHINA FIRST HIGHWAY ENGINEERING COMPANY (CFHEC) to build a hydropower plant in Morocco, the firm told Reuters on Wednesday. The two firms will have to build and run the $300 million hydropower plant, Platinum Power's chief executive Omar Belmamoun said in a statement relayed by the British press agency. The two firms will also be partnering for similar projects in Africa. Platinum Power says that it is involved in several hydropower projects in the continent, including Morocco, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
