The main opposition party in Melilla may not be able to run for local elections, scheduled for May the 26th. Elections commission in Melilla has unanimously decided to invalidate a list of candidates from Spanish party Coalition for Melilla (CpM) for «not respecting Article 44 from the organic law of general electoral regime». Coalition for Melilla appealed against the decision, the party's leader Mustapha Aberchan announced on Twitter. He is planning to seek the National Electoral Commission and the Constitutional Court to defend his party's right to run for local elections in the city.
