Spanish-Moroccan striker Munir El Haddadi has decided to stay at FC Barcelona for another season rather than be loaned to another club, reports MAP press agency quoting El Mundo Deportivo. The managers of the blaugrana club reaffirmed to the young player their desire to continue the adventure together. According to the technical director of FC Barcelona, Eric Abidal, El Haddadi represents the future of the Catalan club. In May, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected an appeal filed by the Moroccan Royal Football Federation and Spanish-Moroccan forward Munir El Haddadi against FIFA and the Spanish football governing body. Morocco's request to allow Barcelona player Haddadi join the Atlas Lions for the 2018 World Cup in Russia has been refused previously by FIFA in March 2018. The «decision is now confirmed and the request to change the sporting nationality of Munir Haddadi from Spain to Morocco remains denied», argued the court. Munir Haddadi, 22, has played several times with young teams in Spain, but only one time with La Roja. He had been summoned only two weeks after his debut with Barca's first team by Coach Vicente de Bosque. On the 8th of September, he played during the last 13 minutes of the match against Macedonia (5-1) in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.
