The Moroccan Royall Football Federation (FRMF) has decided to question FIFA about mistakes referees made during the two games the Atlas Lions played against Portugal and Spain. The decision was announced by several local and foreign newspapers, including French-language online newspaper Le 360 Sport and French paper L'Alsace. La Fédération Marocaine décide de saisir la @FIFAcom et demande des explications sur les erreurs d'arbitrage dont la sélection marocaine a été victime. A l'appui plusieurs vidéos ont été transmises au dossier ! #MAR #CM2018 @beinsports_FR — Julien Chaput (@Julienchaps) 27 juin 2018 «Moroccans believe that the Spain's second goal was not valid because the corner granted to La Roja wasn't shot from the right spot and the referee did not call Portugal out for two fouls they made while playing against the Moroccan team», says the L'Alsace. Le 360 Sport recalls, meanwhile, that mistakes made by referees kicked the Atlas Lions out of the international tournament although they performed better than the Portuguese and Spanish teams. For the record, Morocco left Russia after losing to the Iranian team (1-0) on June 15 and the Portuguese one on the 20th of the same month (1-0). The Atlas Lions played their last World Cup game this year against Spain, which ended in a draw (2-2). Despite their defeat the team showed the world that it deserves to be in Russia, playing alongside powerful and respected squads.
