The Royal Moroccan Federation, the governing body of football in Morocco has been sanctioned by the FIFA to CHF 3,000 (MAD 29,090) for «improper conduct among spectators (whistling the national anthem)», the organization said in document updated on the 2nd of October. The national football team defeated Mali on the 1st of September scoring 6 goals in Rabat. During the game spectators booed the national anthem of Mali. The FIFA based its decision on article 67 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC). On the other hand, the international organization also sanctioned Mali to CHF 15,000 (MAD 145454) for «improper conduct among spectators (throwing objects [bottles and chairs])», when the national Malian team played against Morocco on the 5th of September in Mali, the same source indicates. For the record, Mali and Morocco both received a warning from the FIFA.
