A 13-year-old Moroccan has lost his two legs on the 28th of May in the Sierra de Guadalupe subway station located in Madrid. It was 8 in the morning when the teenager climbed the subway train standing between the rails separating the train's vehicles, El Pais reports. The teenager fell at some point a few meters away from the tunnel. The subway train driver did not know that the boy had fallen, so he did not stop which led to the loss of his legs. Despite his wounds, the young man managed to avoid another subway train that was about to hit him. He climbed the ventilation channels asking for help. A passerby heard him and called the emergency services. Firefighters took the matter into their hands by delivering first aid and sending the teenager to La Paz hospital. According to the same source «Metro de Madrid» is investigating to know what happened and to «verify if it is possible to improve the protocols», says Borja Carabante, president of the transportation company. Police sources as reported by the Spanish newspaper, indicated that the Moroccan teenager was playing. This phenomenon is not new as other children were caught by the subways security camera playing in the train rails. A subway user posted a video on Twitter where you can see two children playing in the subway train rails. @metro_madrid hay unos chavales en la linea 1 de metro saltando a la union de los vagones en Portazgo pic.twitter.com/qKiFlrw1c3 — Robin A González (@robinglez24) 28 mai 2017
