A high-level delegation from the Brazilian aerospace multinational Embraer has concluded a visit to Morocco to assess the country's aerospace supply chain, the company announced in a press release on Thursday. During the visit, Embraer identified several opportunities for business and industrial collaboration with Morocco, particularly in commercial aviation, defense, and urban air mobility. «Morocco has a fast-growing aerospace industry, and we've identified key suppliers with the potential to join our global supply chain», said Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice-President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Embraer. «We see opportunities for mutual benefit—both in the short and long term—through innovation and shared economic growth». Embraer has named Morocco a key regional partner in building a robust supply chain, citing its strong capabilities in aerostructures, machining, sheet metal work, and composites. Cooperation may also extend to training programs, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services, and additional areas such as research and technology. The visit comes on the heels of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Moroccan government to explore potential joint projects. The agreement was signed during the Marrakech Air Show (MAS) in October 2024. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Brazil, Embraer designs, develops, manufactures, and markets aircraft and aerospace systems. According to the company, one of its aircraft takes off somewhere in the world approximately every 10 seconds, carrying more than 150 million passengers annually.
