Royal Air Maroc and Mauritania Airlines signed a strategic partnership on April 4, in Casablanca, aimed at strengthening the direct Casablanca-Nouakchott route. The agreement includes a «free flow» code-sharing arrangement and extends to several areas: maintenance, handling, training, digitalization, and human resources. This collaboration will offer passengers of both airlines a smoother travel experience and better international connections. Royal Air Maroc will increase its weekly frequencies on the Casablanca-Nouakchott route from seven to nine, while Mauritania Airlines will expand from six to nine weekly frequencies. Four new destinations will be added to the codeshare, enabling Mauritania Airlines' customers to access Madrid, Paris, Dubai, and Luanda via Casablanca. «This agreement is a first between our airlines. It strengthens our African presence and enhances the quality of service for our customers», said Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc. His counterpart at Mauritania Airlines, Ahmed Salem Mohamed Vall Ammi, hailed it as «a major step forward that opens new horizons for our passengers and our networks».
