TUI Academy Morocco offers professional training in the hospitality industry, providing practical experience that equips participants with the necessary tools for a successful career in the sector. In Agadir, 100 students from underprivileged backgrounds will be involved each year as part of this project, which will benefit a total of 300 young people. Initiated by the TUI Foundation, in cooperation with the Robinson Club in the city, participants will gain «not only technical and practical knowledge but also the self-confidence necessary to successfully integrate into the job market», states a press release from TUI Group. The targeted profiles are between 17 and 27 years old, for an intensive work-study training program extended over twelve months at the accredited hotel management school on the grounds of Robinson Club Agadir. Within this framework, two days a week are dedicated to classes and four days to practical training. The program will cover areas such as «reception, housekeeping, catering, technology, spa, and cooking, as well as special modules on sustainability, personal development, and key professional skills», the same source adds. After passing the exam, graduates will receive their training diploma, with job opportunities in the tourism industry. This initiative particularly supports better integration into the workforce in a national context where «more than 22% of young people are affected by unemployment and face major obstacles» to accessing employment, adds TUI Group. Ulrich Thöne, General Manager of Robinson Club Agadir, emphasizes that through this training, students benefit from «local career prospects» to strengthen the Moroccan tourism sector, «which relies on skilled workers from the region». This international program operates in twelve destinations worldwide, including Morocco, Sri Lanka, the Dominican Republic, and Zanzibar.
