Two underage teenagers were recently arrested in the city of Larache. They are suspected of kidnapping two school girls and attempted rape. This action was taken following the instructions of the public prosecutor at the city's primary court, who ordered their detention, report Assabah. The newspaper quoted a security source stating that the arrest of the individuals, both minors—one a student and the other a school dropout—was made possible thanks to the intervention of several people. They responded after hearing the girls' screams inside an uninhabited villa. The group surrounded the suspects and alerted the authorities, who then arrested them. The accused allegedly lured the girls to the empty villa to sexually assault them, which they denied. They told investigators that they had a long-standing relationship with the girls, who accompanied them to the villa willingly, and that they did not use any violence or threats against them. The public prosecutor ordered a deeper investigation and a confrontation between the suspects and the girls, along with their guardians, to reconstruct the alleged kidnapping and assault scenario.
