On the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita held talks today in Cairo with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty. According to the official X account of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, the meeting took place on Tuesday, March 4, during the summit, which was convened to discuss developments in the Palestinian issue. Bourita and Abdelatty discussed ways to «strengthen bilateral relations between Morocco and Egypt, as well as key issues on the summit's agenda». On the same day, the Moroccan minister also met with his Libyan counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Taher Al-Baour, to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments. The summit aims to address the latest developments in the Palestinian issue, focusing on preventing the displacement of Palestinians and reaffirming a unified Arab stance. Discussions will also cover efforts to rebuild Gaza, uphold the ceasefire, and pursue legal and international measures to protect Palestinian rights, according to a statement from the Egyptian government.
