The history of Morocco is coming to France and internationally through the traveling exhibition «Les Portes de l'histoire du Maroc: dynasties, sovereigns, and personalities», an initiative that aims to discover or rediscover the great figures and events that have shaped the Kingdom. Designed by Jamel El Hamri, a historian and associate researcher at Iremam-CNRS, the exhibition offers a journey through the centuries, from the Idrisid dynasty to King Mohammed VI, passing through the Almoravid, Almohad, Marinid, Saadian, and Alaouite dynasties. Archives, artistic works, and immersive devices will allow the public to dive into Morocco's past and better understand its evolution. While the event is aimed at history enthusiasts and the curious, it primarily targets Moroccans living abroad, offering them an opportunity to reconnect with their roots. It also seeks to raise awareness among the French and international public about the richness of Moroccan heritage and its influence in the Mediterranean and African regions. The exhibition is also intended to be interactive, with conferences led by historians, educational workshops, and documentary screenings. It is a program designed to spark the interest of younger generations and promote intercultural dialogue. After its launch in May 2025 in France, the exhibition will continue its journey through Europe and internationally. This initiative is also part of the ongoing cultural exchanges between Morocco and its partners, highlighting a centuries-old heritage that continues to inspire the present.
