The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) is advancing its regional tour across the Kingdom. Following several successful visits, the ONMT delegation has now arrived in the Drâa Tafilalet region, a locale with significant potential for tourism development. The primary aim of this tour is to fortify connections with the region's tourism stakeholders, represented by the Conseil Régional du Tourisme (CRT) de la région Drâa-Tafilalet, alongside local authorities, reads a press release. Through direct dialogue with these key figures, ONMT seeks to listen, exchange ideas, and grasp the expectations and challenges confronting the local tourism sector. This visit is crucial for refining the regional strategy and implementing measures to boost tourism in this area of outstanding potential. The Drâa Tafilalet region stands as a pivotal asset for Moroccan tourism, appealing to visitors interested in cultural exploration and cinema professionals attracted by its breathtaking landscapes. A major objective of the tour is to enhance the region's visibility among key players in the global tourism industry. The ONMT aims to position the region as a must-visit destination by showcasing its unique qualities, fostering strategic partnerships with international tour operators and booking platforms, and increasing the number of direct flight connections. This initiative is part of a broader vision to develop a tailored strategy for each of Morocco's regions. By highlighting the distinct characteristics of each destination, the ONMT plans to diversify the national tourism offering and cater to the demands of an increasingly segmented international clientele. Following the stop in Ouarzazate, the ONMT's regional tour will proceed to the Fès region later this week, with subsequent visits to the Oriental region, Dakhla, Beni Mellal, and Tangier in the upcoming weeks.
