Before the opening of the Games on July 26, the Olympic flame made a stop at the Moroccan stand of the fan zone «Africa Station» on July 22nd. Located a stone's throw from the Olympic village on Île-Saint-Denis in the Paris region, the stand was filled with a festive atmosphere as it welcomed the flame. The organizers and several fans, along with the mayor of Île-Saint-Denis, Mohamed Gnabaly, were present. The «Maison Maroc» was inaugurated last Saturday at the heart of the «Africa Station» festivities area, dedicated to African culture and sport. Decorated with a traditional caidal tent in national colors, it showcases a selection of handicrafts, local products, and Moroccan gastronomic specialties. The fan zone «Africa Station» will welcome the public until August 11 for broadcasts of the competitions, along with cultural events, concerts, shows, exhibitions, and meetings with the athletes. Moroccan music and culture will take center stage on August 1st, featuring the participation of numerous artists from the Kingdom. Article modifié le 23/07/2024 à 00h48
