Morocco's Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita announced, Sunday, during a press briefing held at the Ministry's headquarters that a Moroccan delegation visited Israel on Sunday. Said delegation's mission will consist of setting up the Moroccan liaison office in Tel Aviv, which will soon be opened in Israel, i24news reports. The minister added that the Moroccan office will be headed by an acting diplomat, without revealing his name. «There is no Moroccan representative in Israel but rather an interim official», he explained, adding that this diplomat is a member of the Moroccan delegation visiting Israel to prepare for the opening of the liaison office. Another Moroccan delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Israel at the end of December. The Moroccan delegation inspected the space of the new liaison office. It also had to prepare for a second visit. Meanwhile, Israel has appointed its former ambassador to Egypt, David Govrin as head of the liaison office in Rabat. The diplomat arrived in Morocco on January 26.
